Hello, my name is Simon.

I’ve been cycling since 2010 when, along with a couple of mates, I decided to ride to Skegness, the Midlands Mecca of cycling.  Last year was a great year for cycling: Wiggo & Froome in the Tour, the Olympic dream played out in the velodrome and I made the cyclists pilgrimage to Paris to see Cav win on the Champs Élysées.

Other (more) important achievements include being a husband to Mrs G since 2006, becoming a Dad in 2007 and again in 2011.  Here is a family portrait….

My cycling is based in rural Leicestershire in the heart of the UK and is peppered with the odd sportive, charity ride or some other type of challenge.

This blog should be my therapy for the months when my mind is consumed with cycling stuff.  And when it’s not about cycling, it’s about running or the kids.
